OK, imagine this: You're
at work, having a hard AF day when you look at your phone and see a
~sexy~ message. So you hop in a cab to meet up for a quickie. And rather
than it being this taboo thing that you can't tell your co-workers
about, it's a break time your boss encourages you to take.
This could actually be reality in Sweden soon. According to the AFP news agency (via The Local),
a councillor in the country wants to pass a regulation that allows
employees to get hour-long sex breaks so that they can have better
relationships, and he said he "saw no reason" for why it wouldn't get
approved. Meanwhile, here I am over in America wondering about the fate of maternity leave.
"There are studies that show sex is healthy," councillor Per-Erik Muskos said to the AFP. And he's right — orgasms are legitimately good for you. Not to mention sex can improve
your immune system (meaning you'll use fewer sick days), help you sleep
better (so you won't show up at the office late), and you can count it
as a workout.
Muskos
also figured that this would inspire couples to have babies, which would
in turn help out Sweden's population. One caveat, though, is that
you'll never really know what people are doing during these sex breaks. I mean, there are so many other things you can do — take a nap, catch up on The Bachelor, or just eat a damn sandwich in peace and quiet.
This also begs the question: what about single people? Are they forbidden from taking these sex breaks? Can they masturbate instead? There are health benefits to that, too...
